The Uproar Festival this year was a great lineup again. I saw the show in Scranton, PA at Montage Mountain the same weekend Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast. It was cloudy and rainy all morning on the day of the show and I was worried it was going to get cancelled because of the hurricane.

Well the show went on and I got there in the middle of the first band, Hell Or Highwater. I didn't really get a chance to get into them. Next was, Art of Dying and then Black Tide. Both got the crowd going with songs heard on Sirius Radio. Then the sky opened up and it poured!

My favorite band was about to start. Sevendust.

These boys from atlanta have a driving hardcore rhythm with melodic hooks. They are touring in support of their 8th studio album, Cold Day Memory. They only played 5 songs, but I was glad they played at all with the rain. We then went to the headlining stage where Escape The Fate had already gotten thru half of their set. We were under a roof now, so I could concentrate on the bands. Next was Bullet For My Valentine. Very fast guitars with Iron Maiden like melodies. They really rocked. Then was Seether. I really liked them. They opened with Rise Above This and Never Looked Back. What a great singer! The cool thing at these festivals is that bands stick to their hits due to shorter set, which is about 40 minutes. Three Days Grace came on and I saw them earlier this year with Sevendust and Avenged Sevenfold. They have become a band I like a lot. They have a lot of energy and a great groove. The show ended with Avenged Sevenfold, who puts on a great show with lots of effects. They really captured the crowd! Uproar is my favorite summer festival. Lots of great bands for a great price. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year!
