stevejonescroppedIt's a "woo hoo" kind of day!!! A dreamer's "blues" come true!

I've just learned where Maine's own, Stephan B. Jones, will open for Ms. Sandi Thom at One Longfellow Square, Portland, Maine, on May 12, 2014, at 7 pm.

"Steve Jones has become one of Maine's best known singer songwriters, and he has also played guitar with practically everyone on the Maine music scene over the last 20 years. The Newcastle native is best known for his work with The Boneheads but he also is a member of Dirigo and The Holy Mackerels as well as fronting his own band," according to Maine Tracks. The rootsy and poppy vibe heard on "Itchy Fingers", leads off Maine Tracks Volume 2. Listen to the track via this download link.

A beautifully written blog by Simply Daisy describes Jones' to perfection. Plus, it includes the video track of "It's Different Every Day" from the same titled CD, the middle 'child' of his three solo releases.

From my perspective: I've followed Steve for nearly 20 years. He's a private guy; revered by his music peers and loved by music fans. He's worth his weight in guitar strings, as a prolific songwriter, musician, blues/roots/folk artist. He deserves attention.

I invite you to come out and support both artists. Tickets on sale at One Longfellow Square or Ms. Thom's website.
