Now in its tenth year and showcasing a mix of established names in the Roots music world alongside some of its rising stars, The London Roots Festival 2024 has commenced on Thursday 3rd October 2024, with a total of twelve live shows wrapping up proceedings on Tuesday 26th November 2024.
In 2014 having, promoted music for a number of years, David Messer decided to start a festival to give a platform for new and up and coming artists, to play alongside known and established names and to bring the best in roots music to London under one banner.
2018 saw the name change to The London Roots Festival, to reflect the eclectic mix of styles it now embraces, including folk, country, Americana, blues, singer-songwriters and world music.
Now in their 10th year, London Roots Festival is proud to have presented many great names, including:

London Roots Festival 2024 spans a total of thirteen shows across eleven of London’s stunning venues including Union Chapel, Queen Elizabeth Hall at Southbank Centre, Islington Assembly Hall alongside some newer venues and hidden gems such as Grand Junction in Paddington and METRONOME London.
Speaking about the 2024 edition, Festival Founder and owner of DMP Live David Messer commented: “The approach this year was to look at various genres and try and get a good diverse line up. Please go and see as much as you can and support live music.”
