For quite some time, our website has been following the career of the American singer-songwriter Pamela Sue Mann, an artist that has made her mark by sculpting through the years a trademark sound that navigates between Ambient and Pop music, both as a solo artist and as part of parallel projects, to which Mann enjoys exploring even further her musical vision and performing theatricality with other fellow artists.

Towards the end of 2025, Mann decided to rejoin forces with Irish-born Electro-Ambient composer and producer PXMurphy, well known also for being half of the duo Electric Penguins, releasing an EP called Brave under the pseudonym Teanga Teanga, in a side project that was born back in 2023 that saw Teanga Teanga releasing a bunch of singles between 2023 and 2024.

Constituted by three songs only, the EP is a sort of mini-concept kind of record, where the main character seems initially to be lost in a world of solitude, melancholy and darkness, surrounded only by distant sounds of random noises and creaks, to then gradually starting to release those haunting feelings in a sort of spiritual rebirth in the final track of the record.

The record is a proper journey in the character's psyche, where first, Mann's vocals depict perfectly the challenging, emotional journey the main character is going through, supported beautifully by PXMurphy distorted wall of sound in the opening track, called Brave.

Track 2 of the EP, If I Gave To You Your Freedom, works well as a bridge between Brave and the closing track of the album called Breathe It, where Mann iis very well  supported on vocals by the Welsh singer-songwriter Donna Lewis, in the final piece of this mini-opera that sees the main character finally starting to find the strength to move towards a path of light and optimism.

Although being an EP, Brave shows an enormous amount of creativity and vision on many levels; a sonic one, a songwriting one and a performing one too, especially through the EP's title-track.

It's unclear whether the Teanga Teanga project will continue, in years to come but for the time being, it is rather refreshing to listen to a fresh and inspired musical project that incorporates ideas that could be palatable not only for music lovers but also for a potential stage playwright. More than 3 songs, Brave contains 3 shards of brilliancy.
