Last month, after coming home from the indie punk rock Sleeper Agent show at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, a late night look at my inbox yielded an article sent by Jeffrey Jones, who runs the James Patrick Page group on Facebook. It says that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have invited Jimmy Page to join them on one of their UK tour shows, perhaps Knebworth, on June 23, 2012. Originally from Gibson Lifestyle, it was reposted on the Led Zeppelin.org site among others, so I knew there was some buzz.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers made the long plane trip across the country to beckon the Boston TD Garden. Steeped in the sports history of competition and camaraderie between the Lakers and the Celtics, the atmosphere here had a driving edge that made the night even more exciting. Both teams were in the playoffs as of this date and the half pant legs of Anthony and Flea were proudly showing purple and yellow socks!

With their original lineup, in a unique tour series this year, Creed chose a select set of albums and played certain ones live at different venues across the Northeast. For the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, it was Human Clay. There is a lot of history of change with this band, and many stories to tell from the fans too. Full Circle, the title of their latest album, was also the theme of this room tonight.

The
Concert for Education: (Excerpts from) Carnival of Animals
The Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra offers an education program with six weeks of training in the classroom, plus a visit from one of the musicians to let the budding students get familiar with the pieces and the instruments in advance of the concert. The finale of the series is the attendance of the show. This year it was Carnival of Animals and these kids were super ready.

Live Show and Album Review Commentary for Celabrasion by Bluebird.

"Nothing ever happens for the reasons we decide."
We stumbled across Sleeper Agent, an indie-rock-gone-punk band through routine music networking back in February. One listen to their debut album, Celabrasion, with its infectious chords, gripping rhythms and addictive lyrics, and our team here at Bluebirdreviews was hooked! Sleeper Agent says they were inspired by Cage the Elephant and is proud to tour with Ben Kweller. We were already fired up to cover their show at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston on March 23, 2012. Then the night before they hit a nearly sold out crowd in Beantown, they were televised on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and sold out the Irving Plaza in NYC for Saturday's show.
