On December 7, 2007, the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin,

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, agreed to reunite with Jason Bonham in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records.

This was a charity event to support music in schools in many parts of the world. Over 20 million people applied through a public lottery to obtain tickets to this performance. 18,000 lucky winners were able to get a ticket to this show through a random computer drawing.

The concert footage of the Led Zeppelin performance during this Ahmet Ertegun Tribute

from the O2 in London will be released as a film this October, 2012.

Tickets to the film go on sale TODAY September 13, 2012, for the movie that will open in London, Los Angeles and New York

and also be released in over 1,500 theaters globally on October 17, 2012.

DVD and CD recordings are due to be released on November 19th for purchase as well.

Tickets to the film are on sale NOW - Sept. 13.

This single event is the inspiration for building this website. I was lucky enough to obtain a ticket through the random lot and went to London as a field correspondant for

ROCK 102.1 in Springfield, MA. The story of my travel for this life changing experience, to take part in music history, can be read here.

The countdown was reduced to one today, from the Led Zeppelin rumors that have been running all week. Still there is speculation of what will be announced tomorrow. There are press that have stated the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute where the surviving members of Led Zeppelin performed in 2007 will become a movie to be released in November. Others say it will be a DVD or both. A Kennedy award and performance invitation in Washington, DC is another possibility. Stay tuned, there is a CELEBRATION DAY up ahead!

This week, Led Zeppelin fans have been frenzy following what seems to be a countdown of sorts, put together by album art references of the band over the years.

No one is quite certain what this means, but the general consensus is that the announcement will be made five years after the announcement of the O2 performance of Led Zeppelin's appearance at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute in 2007.

It is likely that there will be an audio or DVD release in the works, but as Zeppelin's relationship with the press has often been mysteriously oblique,

a good Zeppelin fan knows that the band's word is always the final one.

This photo was on the Led Zeppelin Facebook Page today. Zeppelin fans know that there could be two ways to interpret this clue to a future event. It could be an album release, because there are four albums from Zeppelin that feature number symbols.

Is there a Zeppelin V  in the future?

Most likely, the date may reflect that is has been five years since the Led Zeppelin Reunion in London, which was at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute.

Perhaps there is a DVD release of the Led Zeppelin performance at the O2 on the horizon?

I was lucky enough to attend this historic show, This event changed my life for the better and was the inspiration to start this website. We will be following these clues closely along with our readers and other Zeppelin related newsfeeds. Read the original post here:  https://www.facebook.com/ledzeppelin .

and follow the Piper ...

Sept. 9th, this was posted on the same page. Some type of countdown, perhaps?
