Joe Bonamassa at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton, NH, 2012. With Special Guest, Johnny A.

Welcome to Hampton Beach. The community of Hampton Beach has something to offer its members everyday - the shared experience of the ocean right outside your window. I spent some time here before the Joe Bonamassa show. The people were warm and inherently considerate, building years of friendship and businesses on trust and handshake deals. Anyone that I spoke to knew that Joe Bonamassa was coming to the Casino. There was a quiet force to be reckoned with this weekend.

Do you know Doug Ratner and The Watchmen?

From Springfield, MA, I caught this live classic rock band at Pearl Street in Northampton. In the line-up to support the Spin Doctors, it might as well have been a double bill. Stocked with the bands' own fans and massive amounts of loyal energy, Doug Ratner and The Watchmen put on a great show.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Should Jimmy Page Play with RHCP on their UK tour?

Last month, after coming home from the indie punk rock Sleeper Agent show at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, a late night look at my inbox yielded an article sent by Jeffrey Jones, who runs the James Patrick Page group on Facebook. It says that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have invited Jimmy Page to join them on one of their UK tour shows, perhaps Knebworth, on June 23, 2012. Originally from Gibson Lifestyle, it was reposted on the Led Zeppelin.org site among others, so I knew there was some buzz. thumb fleaweb

The Red Hot Chili Peppers take on BOSTON!

May 7, 2012

"All aboard stitching time, you get yours - I got mine."

Red Hot Chili Peppers:

Anthony Kiedis- Vocals

Michael "Flea" Balzary- Bass

Josh Klinghoffer- Guitar

Chad Smith- Drums

Touring Musicians

Chris Warren- Keyboards

Mauro Refosco- Drums

The Red Hot Chili Peppers made the long plane trip across the country to beckon the Boston TD Garden. Steeped in the sports history of competition and camaraderie between the Lakers and the Celtics, the atmosphere here had a driving edge that made the night even more exciting. Both teams were in the playoffs as of this date and the half pant legs of Anthony and Flea were proudly showing purple and yellow socks!

Review by Bluebird

April 27, 2012

With their original lineup, in a unique tour series this year, Creed chose a select set of albums and played certain ones live at different venues across the Northeast. For the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, it was Human Clay. There is a lot of history of change with this band, and many stories to tell from the fans too. Full Circle, the title of their latest album, was also the theme of this room tonight.
